Born on a solstice day, June 21, 1981, Samuel CANCEL grew up at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains in southern France. From an early age, music became his refuge, and the drums, his instinctive means of expression. In 1997, he co-founded the metal band SIDILARSEN, becoming its rhythmic architect for 25 years. Balancing power and sensitivity, he forged a unique sonic language and toured extensively across France and internationally. In 2022, the need for silence became undeniable. Samuel chose to leave the chaos of the road behind and retreated to his native mountains for an introspective pause.Three years later, he reemerged under the name VENTRE, giving birth to a visceral sound—an inner cry he describes as "Trip(es) Rock Electro." In this sensory universe, electronic textures flow like shifting shadows, intertwined with incandescent rock bursts. Influenced by Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack, VAST, Moby, and Gojira, he crafts sonic landscapes where melancholy dances with fury, where light carves through darkness.VENTRE is more than just a musical project; it is an invitation to vertigo, a deep dive into the abyss, propelling the listener into an immersive experience at the edge of dreams and primal screams.
